Of course, the best feature is the private pool within the unit, which runs the length of the apartment and is big enough for you to swim a few laps in.

If you want a fuss-free check in, opt for airport transfer provided by host Meme (at an additional 500THB) &ndash; the driver will take you straight to the apartment.

Right on top of Soy Sauce Factory, an art space that was formerly an actual soy sauce factory, is this 1000-square-feet loft that would make the cool cats feel right at home.

As with the gallery downstairs, the apartment has an industrial, bare-bones setting, enlivened with bold, contemporary art, curious vintage objects and impeccable designer furniture.

It&rsquo;s near Chaophraya River in Chinatown, which is considerably far from the more popular Sukhumvit area where all the action is, but you get to experience local life in an old town, and travel to other parts of the city in a water taxi.

Occasionally, there&rsquo;ll even be music and art events at the gallery downstairs, where you can rub shoulders with the local creative set.

A hip, arty loft with lots of local flavour

Heading to Bangkok with family and friends? Look no further than this gorgeous two-storey house that sleeps up to seven in three bedrooms, and is situated within the buzzy Ekkamai district.

The living and dining area on the ground floor is airy and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling glass panels to let in plenty of sunshine during the day.

The entire home feels delightfully comfy and calming: the colour scheme is neutral with mainly grey, white, black and brown hues; there is a little garden with a huge wooden swing on the ground floor; as well as a large balcony on the second floor.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, microwave, kettle and a refrigerator, and the host provides basic amenities like drinking water, tissue papers, and garbage bags.

A beautiful house with a lovely, giant swing

This handsome 500-square-feet loft is a good excuse to explore a quieter side of Sathorn, Bangkok&rsquo;s CBD.

With tasteful touches such as a calfskin rug, old trunks as bedside table, funky furnishings, concrete floors and wall art; the space &ndash; which also features an outdoor kitchenette and a wrap-around balcony &ndash; is chic and homely.

What&rsquo;s unique about the place is its location: the apartment, though the nearest BTS station Sala Daeng is a 25-minute walk away, is within steps of the Suan Phlu fresh market, where you can find great local food and authentic Bangkok experiences.

A bright and cozy artist’s studio

For a big thrill with small bills, this charming one-bedder is hard to beat.

The look and feel are&nbsp;like a country guest house, filled with vintage paraphernalia: old trucks, animal taxidermy, curious trinkets&nbsp;and books.

Breakfast is served downstairs, where you&rsquo;ll be greeted by the host&rsquo;s adorable cats and dogs.

There are plenty of tiny mom-and-pop shops and street food vendors in the quaint neighbourhood, plus the BTS station is just a stone&rsquo;s throw away, so you can zip around Bangkok easily.
