Arthur Hoffner, Clement Chia and Friedrich Neumann rethink the Perlée collection.

The romance between <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/jewellery-watches/a-new-day-has-come-van-cleef-arpels-introduces-new-alhambra-jewellery">Van Cleef &amp; Arpels</a> and the&nbsp;golden beads date back to the 1920s, where the Maison use the pretty sphere to add a sophisticated glow to the stones and motifs. &nbsp;For the longest time, the golden beads have co-starred in the Maison&rsquo;s creations, and it was 2008 when Van Cleef &amp; Arpels debuted the Perl&eacute;e collection&nbsp;to take&nbsp;the joyful golden beads to the centre stage.&nbsp;

Whilst the Perl&eacute;e collection has a softness to its silhouette, it stands out for bold and playful use of colours. Holding dear to the heritage of Van Cleef &amp; Arpels, the Perl&eacute;e collection showcases the Maison&rsquo;s unparalleled craftsmanship with a modern twist that is evident in the iconic Perl&eacute;e secret watch and Perl&eacute;e transformable long necklace.&nbsp;

This year, Van Cleef &amp; Arpels collaborated with three graphic designers to reinterpret the shape of the Maison&rsquo;s iconic golden beads in a series of clips and still life images.

&quot;Van Cleef &amp; Arpels Perl&eacute;e collection is defined by elegant and organic shapes. To convey this concept, it was important to generate a natural and harmonious feel on both visual and auditive levels. The use of light and joyful colours with&nbsp;interesting but minimalist environments and harmonious motion in combination with sound variations was essential. The representative &quot;bead&quot; implies the playful and rhythmic interaction between spherical shapes and jewellery.&quot;
