In 2024, FRED once again graced the clay courts of Roland-Garros with its trademark Force 10 collection, marrying Parisian sophistication with the tournament's indomitable drive. Following the resounding success of its debut in 2023, this year's capsule collection pays homage to the chromatic palette of the historic French Open with fresh variations that embody the essence of athletic valour and elegance.

Since its inception in 1966, the Force 10 bracelet has been a beacon of courage, inspired by the resilience of sailors confronting mighty gales and FRED&rsquo;s love of the sea. This enduring symbol of determination also finds its roots in the shared ethos of FRED's founder, Fred Samuel, and the tournament's namesake and aviator, Roland Garros &mdash; an unswerving belief in oneself, the refusal to yield and the relentless pursuit of excellence. It is this steadfast resolve that birthed the Force 10 capsule collection, dedicated to honouring the legendary tournament and its illustrious legacy.

For this year's collection, FRED, The Sunshine Jeweller, orchestrates a laidback yet elegant blend of the codes of its signature bracelet and the aesthetic of Roland-Garros. Two new buckles take centre stage with golden yellow hues evoking the warmth of sunshine personifying the Maison. The first buckle, adorned with 18 Ceylon blue sapphires, pays homage to the limitless expanse of the sea beloved by FRED as well as the tournament's iconic colours, symbolising the endless horizon on the path to victory. Meanwhile, the sleek design of the second buckle exudes minimalist allure, radiating solar energy and that of a formidable smash in a match.

An interesting element is the tennis ball motif engraved on the side of each buckle as a playful nod to the sport at the heart of the tournament. On the reverse side, a terracotta-coloured garnet, referencing the ochre hue of the Roland-Garros tennis court, is set like a connector between the two-tone RG insignia and the name FRED. The 2024 limited-edition Force 10 cable is engraved with the RG emblem at its tip, fusing a riveting spectrum of three new shades: terracotta, white and blue. With the neat selection of cables and buckles, the Force 10 tradition of interchangeability is upheld, providing endless opportunities for customisation and personal expression.
