A timepiece paying homage to the Franco-Swiss brand&rsquo;s aviation roots with a mesmerising new dial.

Are you ready to be captivated by the BR-X5, a watch that is as much a timepiece as a chameleon? Its dial colour transforms magically, adapting to the angle of view. In one moment, it may look like the iridescent shell, while in the next, it may call to mind the tones of a delicate mother-of-pearl.

The BR-X5 is the cooler, high-tech sibling of the BR-05, which first strutted onto the scene in 2022. Drawing inspiration from Bell &amp; Ross&rsquo;s urban collection, this model is all about innovation and style. Its 41 mm casing is a masterpiece of design, held together by four signature screws that scream Bell &amp; Ross. Upon closer inspection, one will find a powerhouse COSC-certified movement. The sleek front hides a hollowed-down middle section allowing the watch to be light yet robust.
The precise dial showcases crisp markings, a power reserve indicator at 9 o&rsquo;clock and a big date window at 3 o&rsquo;clock. Thanks to the white Super-LumiNova X1 coating, it&rsquo;s easy to read day and night. The bezel displays clear minute markers, while the BR-CAL.323 calibre movement ensures it&rsquo;s always on point. With a 70-hour power reserve and a rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), this watch is not only good-looking but also reliable. Flipping it over reveals the oscillating weight and balance through its sapphire case back.

The iridescence of the BR-X5 Iridescent dial is generated by structural colouration and is achieved by superimposing multiple thin layers of PVD. &ldquo;The creation of this piece is based on an elaborate chemical process. The PVD treatment applied to the dial gives it this striking visual appearance. The PVD layers, all with distinct tones, create light interference which, depending on the angle of observation, gives rise to this unique chromatic variation.

The BR-X5 Iridescent shows a new side. The colour of the dial varies beautifully depending on the light or angle of the watch. The slightest movement in wrist angle is enough to cause its unique colour palette to change.
