The Maison imbues its iconic creation with an irresistibly icy brilliance.

Back and better after a long hiatus, Chopard&rsquo;s audacious Ice Cube watch has unveiled new editions that emanate a fresh modernity like the original did nearly 30 years ago. This iconic watch design expanded the Maison&rsquo;s creative horizons and visual language beyond the soft curves of its earlier designs, such as Happy Diamonds. It also paved the way for a jewellery collection that has thrived as one of the Maison&rsquo;s most beloved.

We decided to bring it back today to recognise and celebrate its timeless freshness and innovative spirit. This re-edition in ethical gold is the ideal balance of innovation and tradition,&rdquo; says Caroline Scheufele, Chopard&rsquo;s Co-President and Artistic Director.

Launched by Chopard in the late 1990s, the Ice Cube watch was a trailblazer, redefining the concept of jewellery watches. Featuring cleverly assembled Asscher-cut diamonds, the watch&rsquo;s dial and bezel mirror the geometry of ice cubes, requiring Chopard&rsquo;s expert artisans to level up and push the boundaries of their diamond-setting techniques. Personally overseen by Scheufele, the new iterations are proudly updated with ethical gold, used in the production of all Chopard watches and jewellery since 2018.
For an ultra-luxurious take, the first Ice Cube watch in the capsule is a dazzling secret watch, evoking a cascade of ice cubes dipped in gold and diamonds that seem to have naturally crystallised. Responsible for this high jewellery and watchmaking masterpiece is Chopard&rsquo;s Designer Artisan, Coralie, who has successfully reproduced the original design, applying it to diverse creations from the Haute Joaillerie workshops, including a choker, cuff bracelet, secret watch and a faithful redux of the first watch model.

The second Ice Cube watch reiteration is anchored by a 25mm case &mdash; a replica of the launch model from 1999, now displayed at the Chopard Museum in Geneva. Wholly paved with Asscher-cut diamonds, it emanates the crystalline, frosty texture defined by its sought-after original. Each facet exudes the geometric purity of cubes, enhanced by strategically placed diamonds echoing the cubic pattern. Showcasing an all-diamond bezel and a dial with vivid blued hands that contrast strikingly against the icy background, the wristwatch is complemented with an elegant alligator leather strap.
