This April &#39;17 edition is dedicated to the late Ren Hang, an iconic and fearless artist. The <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/fashion/a-tribute-to-ren-hang">passing of the Chinese lensman</a> devastated the entire fashion world, especially us at L&#39;Officiel Malaysia, who were&nbsp;privileged to have worked with him merely months ago.

Our managing editor Monica Mong who had the opportunity to be in his presence as they collaborated for the title&#39;s March (see <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/fashion/behind-the-scenes-rila-fukushima-by-ren-hang">here</a>) and April issues penned a heartfelt open letter to the provocateur, and his admirers.

On his passing, she says, &quot;I had met the most amazing person whose impact on my life will be eternal. The experience was a highlight of my career as you provoked the way I look at styling and photography.&quot;

She adds, &quot;Your followers asked me to share our experience working together; how were you like as a person?&quot;

With that, we look back at the photographer&#39;s awe-inspiring works and immortalised the legacy he left behind in a special tribute Remembering Ren Hang (1987-2017).
