From debut collections to one-of-a-kind shows and more.

1. Moschino celebrated its 40-year milestone

It&rsquo;s Moschino&rsquo;s 40th year in business; and what better way to celebrate than with a one-of-a-kind show that pays homage to its founder? For SS24, the fashion house tapped four stylists and friends of the brand &mdash; Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Lucia Liu and Katie Grand &mdash; to each create a collection that references the late Franco Moschino&rsquo;s designs from 1983 to 1993. Dubbed &rsquo;40 Years of Love&rsquo;, the four acts may be showing different points of view, but they all have one thing in common: his philosophy that focuses on joyfulness and play, and one that looks ahead and not backwards.
&ldquo;Act One&rdquo; was by designer Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele who reimagined the late designer&rsquo;s signature raincoats, white T-shirts and leather jackets.

&ldquo;Act Two&rdquo; featured looks by stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson who spotlighted Franco&rsquo;s trademark cowboy hats, oversized earrings and crochet dresses and gave them her own quirky, textural spin.&nbsp;

&ldquo;Act Three&rdquo; by stylist Lucia Liu honed in on the romance and the underlying femininity in Franco&rsquo;s work. There was a play of juxtaposition, too, as the ensembles that are pure and ethereal at first glance are given that extra edge with bold tailoring.

Last but not least, instead of a typical runway show, stylist Katie Grand&rsquo;s &ldquo;Act Four&rdquo; was a performance to pay tribute to Franco&rsquo;s love of the theatre. Choreographed by Royal Ballet&rsquo;s Wayne McGregor, the dancers were dressed in elegantly monochrome looks with &ldquo;Loud Luxury&rdquo; emblazoned on some of the pieces.

2. Sabato De Sarno&rsquo;s debut at Gucci

Arguably the most highly anticipated event this season, the Gucci SS24 show marks the debut of its new creative director Sabato de Sarno. While it may not be off to a great start, as a bad weather forecast forced the brand to move its show indoors, as the show was about to begin, the rain stopped and the skies cleared up, symbolising a new beginning.&nbsp;
Watching the show from the front row were celebrities including House ambassadors NewJeans Hanni, Lee Jung-jae, Ryan Gosling, Jessica Chastain, Ni Ni and Alia Bhatt, as well as Julia Roberts, Bad Bunny, Kendall Jenner and more. The collection, a 180 from the aesthetic of Sabato&rsquo;s predecessor, aims to channel the true essence of Gucci. The looks started with impeccably tailored classic essentials that exude a chic and refined flair like no other, before sensual lingerie get-ups and intricately embellished mini dresses round off the line-up.&nbsp;

3. Penelope Cruz is Geox&rsquo;s first brand ambassador

Our first event of the season was for Geox, as the Italian brand introduced its first-ever brand ambassador, actress Pen&eacute;lope Cruz, during Milan Fashion Week. Held at Garden Senato, the presentation showcased Geox&rsquo;s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, as well as the campaign featuring Pen&eacute;lope which will be launched in two phases.

We are looking forward to an exciting brand-new chapter&rdquo;, said Mario Moretti Polegato, founder and chairman of Geox. &ldquo;Our company has experienced major growth over the past few years and we are thrilled that Pen&eacute;lope Cruz is our first-ever Geox ambassador. She will convey our new brand positioning to the world because she embodies a style evolution which blurs the line between beauty, well-being and comfort &mdash; a winning philosophy that has always underpinned our product designs.&rdquo;&nbsp;
The Oscar-winning actress echoed Marios&rsquo; sentiments as well, saying, &ldquo;I think that comfort is essential for every woman and Geox manages to create products that are very comfortable but also very cool. Geox products are the perfect example to show that you don&rsquo;t have to compromise style for comfort.&rdquo;&nbsp;
Aside from being the face of the brand, Pen&eacute;lope Cruz has also teamed up with her sister, ballerina and actress M&oacute;nica, on a capsule collection that takes inspiration from the Mediterranean. Wardrobe classics including sneakers, moccasins and sandals are rendered in bright shades that will uplift your everyday look.

4. Peter Hawkings&rsquo; debut at Tom Ford

The Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2024 show also marked the debut of its creative director Peter Hawkings. Having worked with Tom Ford throughout his career, it&rsquo;s no surprise that Hawkings&rsquo; vision for this new era stuck to the brand&rsquo;s house codes.
The collection may have been inspired by Donyale Luna, the Detroit-born Black model and actress who gained fame in the &rsquo;60s and early &rsquo;70s for her otherworldly looks, but a look at the line-up and you&rsquo;ll notice that the signature Tom Ford sensual glamour comes through. Dubbed as &ldquo;an act of continuity&rdquo;, the collection opened with a croc-embossed belted jacket with thigh-high boots. Next was a slinky maxi mesh dress cinched with a low-waist statement belt.&nbsp;
Pantsuits are, of course, a must-have, and this season, the array of suited looks included pinstriped versions with deep V-neck tops as well as colourful variations comprising velvet jackets and itty-bitty shorts. The finale look &mdash; a golden pantsuit&mdash; sealed the line-up with that high-octane glamour.&nbsp;

5. BOSS&rsquo; futuristic Autumn/Winter 2023 show

When it comes to show spaces, BOSS&rsquo; Autumn/Winter 2023 show definitely takes the cake. The brand transformed the Allianz MiCo conference centre in Milan into the Boss Techtopia &mdash; a futuristic, sci-fi setting for its &ldquo;CorpCore&rdquo;-themed see-now-buy-now collection.
1,000 guests including celebrities Lee Min-ho, Maluma, Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse, EXO&rsquo;s Soho and Mew Suppasit were greeted by humanoid robot Sophia at the entrance before finding their seats among the six themed rooms that gave them a glimpse into the future. The collection featured traditional office attire that was given a contemporary spin, be it deconstructed designs and deep slits to boxy silhouettes and eye-catching details.&nbsp;
