<p class="p1">Between <i>The Devil Wears Prada 2</i> filming at Dolce &amp; Gabbana, Gucci&rsquo;s short film, and much-hyped debuts at Bottega Veneta and Versace, Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 served no shortage of spectacle. Amid the heavyweights, Onitsuka Tiger showed early in the schedule and still generated its own share of fanfare.</p>
<p class="p1">Let&rsquo;s start with the collection. Built around an &ldquo;Urban Fantasy&rdquo; theme, creative director Andrea Pompilio explores the magnetic push and pull between the city and the sun &mdash; the kind of fleeting energy that lingers in the air. The result? A fantastical line that serves as a medium for self-expression.</p>
<p class="p1">Pieces felt familiar at first glance, then slightly off-kilter in a way that made you look twice. Cue the crinkled shirts, fluid blouses and dresses with a worn-in, almost vintage touch anchored the softer side of the collection. Elsewhere, bodysuits were reimagined as dresses and layered over wide culottes, creating intentional asymmetry and movement.</p>
<p class="p1">Structure came through in sharper silhouettes: parkas in crisp fabric worn with striped knit tanks and shorts, and cropped trucker jackets finished with ruffled waists. Leather added edge via oversized biker jackets and mini skirts with exposed zips, while suede varsity jackets were paired with knee-length skirts cut in asymmetric pleats &mdash; a nod to nostalgia with an unexpected twist.</p>
<p class="p1">The brand&rsquo;s signature tracksuit also made an appearance, this time with a fresh<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp; </span>update. Slim Paw Project track pants &mdash; first launched in 1974 &mdash; were paired with lingerie-inspired tops, masculine blazers and heels. Track tops were layered over slender trenches and field jackets, pushing the aesthetic into quietly confident territory. Tailoring entered the chat too. Spotlighting single- and double-breasted jackets, formal outerwear were spotted on the runway, styled with vintage-style running shorts in menswear for an intentionally off-beat boldness.</p>
<p class="p1">An Onitsuka Tiger collection isn&rsquo;t complete without its footwear, and this round, the line-up leaned into reinterpretation rather than reinvention. Satin ballet flats riffed on the iconic MEXICO 66 sneaker, while other shoes featured leather fringe and tassel detailing. Boots came either in suede riding silhouettes or trailing long fringe, and soft suede sandals grounded some of the lighter looks.</p>
<p class="p1">The rest of the accessories also did not disappoint. The Tiger Tote in canvas, is splashed with graffiti or floral prints, while the rectangular KARATE bag in soft leather came in both smooth and studded versions. A collaboration with Mikimoto rounded out the looks, with pieces spotlighting rare golden South Sea pearls &mdash; chosen in honour of the brand&rsquo;s signature yellow &mdash; and set against black rhodium-treated chains, baroque silhouettes and diamond logos.</p>
