Our Crush Series is back and we turn our focus to Yoon Ahn, the South-Korean designer behind Ambush and the newly-appointed Dior Men's jewellery.

Ten years ago,&nbsp;Yoon Ahn founded the Tokyo-based luxury streetwear brand Ambush with her husband and she is also the newly appointed&nbsp;as men&#39;s jewellery designer at Dior Men.

Making headlines everywhere since her Dior Men debut, Yoon Ahn remains a mystery to most but we are here to change that all!

In sync with&nbsp;the revival of our Fashion Crush series, we unfold the little-known facts of Yoon Ahn, the name the entire industry is talking as of late.

Who is the designer?

Always calling herself the designer that &#39;came out of nowhere&#39;, Yoon Ahn is a South-Korean born who grew up in both The United States and Korea.

She met her husband Verbal (the stage name for&nbsp;Young-Kee Yu ) while she was studying graphic design in Boston and the duo used to create&nbsp;apparels, accessories and jewellery for themselves and their friends before their label Ambush is finally born in 2008.

From Kim Jones to Virgil Abloh and Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, Yoon Ahn has the fanciest names in her network&nbsp;and not to mention her star-studded party crew that includes Bella Hadid, Kiko Mizuhara, SooJoo, G-Dragon and CL.

What she does and what&#39;s Ambush about?

Barbwire rings, padlock earrings and bold chain choker are some of her biggest highlights.

Yoon has always made real-life inspired jewellery with a high-end touch, or perhaps we should think of it as&nbsp;Ambush&#39;s unique sense of humour; where the rebellion of her generation strongly diffuse, challenging the aesthetic taste of luxury.

Founded&nbsp;with her husband Verbal (the Japanese Hip-hop fixture and the composer of the late 00&#39;s hit song&nbsp;Tokyo Drift), Ambush is just something for fun at the beginning as the couple couldn&#39;t find any jewellery they like&nbsp;and&nbsp;decided to make their own instead.

With&nbsp;Verbal&#39;s A-list&nbsp;friends Kanye,&nbsp;Pharrell and G-Dragon rooting for it, the buzz of Yoon&#39;s work&nbsp;got out of hand and that was followed with numerous collaborations with&nbsp;leading designers and brands including Beats, Shu Uemura and Sacai.

Why she&rsquo;s one to watch?

Yoon Ahn is part of the generation of designers&nbsp;who grew up with street culture&nbsp;which moulded their open minds and diverse creativity.

From her collaboration with luxury fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and&nbsp;Sacai to Undercover, Mykita,&nbsp;Beats by Dre and Shu Uemura, it&#39;s not hard to see how&nbsp;her talent and diversity play well with various brands, concepts and products.&nbsp;

Recently finished her Dior Men debut and Ambush Sring/Summer 2019 &#39; WAVES&#39; presentation (where&nbsp;Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell paid a visit to the showroom) in Paris, Yoon Ahn travelled to London to work on her next Dior Men collection without a single halt.

After her sophisticated interpretation of men&#39;s jewellery at Dior Men S/S 2019, we already can&#39;t wait for the reveal of her next collection! One thing&#39;s for sure, this lady will be going places and beyond.
