In her second (digital) cover with us this year, the It-girl opens up about love, family, and the next chapter of her career &mdash; all while sporting the new PUMA H-Street sneakers.

By now, Ameera Khan needs no introduction. A bona fide It-girl, she&rsquo;s back on our cover for the fourth time &mdash; and for the second time this year alone. With her 25th birthday coming up at the end of the year, the soon-to-be quarter-century-old has been hitting major personal and professional milestones, from being exclusively invited to experience Dior&rsquo;s High Jewellery event at Eden-Roc, to attending Men&rsquo;s Fashion Week in Paris with her boyfriend, Jefri Nichol, to starring in her first-ever PUMA billboard campaign.
If there&rsquo;s one thing that&rsquo;s always set Ameera apart, it&rsquo;s the way she wears her heart on her sleeve &mdash; both figuratively and, on the day of our shoot, quite literally. She arrived at the studio in a white T-shirt emblazoned with a photo of her parents, a tender homage to the unwavering love and support that grounds her. &ldquo;The one with Jefri on it is at home,&rdquo; she adds with a laugh, eyes lighting up at the mention of his name.
On set, she channels effortless cool in PUMA&rsquo;s H-Street sneakers &mdash; an archival silhouette reimagined from the early 2000s running spike, the PUMA Harambee. With its sleek low-profile design, lightweight mesh upper and glinting metallic accents, the H-Street is poised to become the next It-shoe, as Ameera elevates it with her signature ease.
Now, as she gradually enters a new era, Ameera reflects candidly on love, family, ambition, and the woman she&rsquo;s becoming, all while learning to hold space for herself in a world that&rsquo;s always watching.

This is your fourth time gracing our cover &mdash; how do you feel you&rsquo;ve evolved since your first cover shoot with us two years ago?
I still remember my first cover in 2023, then the second one in 2024, and after that, the one with Jefri. Thinking back, I was definitely more timid and hesitant to try different looks and styles. I didn&rsquo;t feel confident enough yet. But over the past two years, I&rsquo;ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone.&nbsp;
Now, I&rsquo;d like to think I&rsquo;m a lot more confident, whether it&rsquo;s experimenting with new concepts, meeting new people, or showing up to intimidating spaces like fashion week or editorial shoots. It&rsquo;s been a journey. I&rsquo;m turning 25 this year, can you believe it? I&rsquo;m just really grateful to be here, and to have lived this long [laughs].
You&rsquo;re turning 25 this year. What are your hopes and aspirations as you hit this milestone?
I really like this question because it&rsquo;s personal &mdash; thank you for including it. In terms of family, I just want to soak in as much quality time as I can with them. For work, I&rsquo;m hoping for continued growth &mdash; I want to take on bigger and better opportunities. I&rsquo;ve always felt like this isn&rsquo;t the furthest I can go. Just because I&rsquo;ve achieved XYZ doesn&rsquo;t mean I stop here.&nbsp;
I believe there&rsquo;s so much more out there for me &mdash; that&rsquo;s something I constantly manifest. There&rsquo;s always something more, something bigger. As for love, turning 25 feels like a natural time to start thinking about the future more seriously. I just hope that everything I&rsquo;ve been planning unfolds smoothly.

You&rsquo;ve often shared glimpses of your close bond with your parents and siblings. How do they support you in both your career and personal life? The best part of having a big family is that I always have someone to turn to, no matter the situation or topic. My parents are my biggest supporters. My siblings &mdash; my sisters and brothers &mdash; are my advisors. They&rsquo;ve never held me back from doing anything. Their philosophy has always been: walk your journey, and if you ever need help, we&rsquo;re right here. My parents especially&hellip; They&rsquo;ve always gone above and beyond to make the impossible feel possible for me. They just want to see me happy. That&rsquo;s the standard I carry into every relationship in my life. I want to be surrounded by people who make me feel the way my family does.
Describe your perfect day off. I usually start the day with something active. Either tennis, horse riding, gym, or Pilates. Then, breakfast with my family &mdash; usually my mom and sisters. If my dad&rsquo;s not working, he joins us too. We have breakfast together almost every day, probably six times a week. Then maybe some shopping, then just chilling at home. And we always have dinner together at night. After this shoot, I&rsquo;m having dinner with my sisters. I always make time for them.
You&rsquo;ve recently picked up tennis again alongside horse-riding and Pilates. What do you enjoy most about incorporating different sports into your routine? Growing up, I was actually scared of sports. Because I was the baby of the family, and also the fairest. My parents didn&rsquo;t want me under the sun! So during sports days in school, I&rsquo;d ask my mom to write notes saying I was sick or had a sprained ankle &mdash; and she would. [Laughs]
But as I got older, I realised how much I love animals. Horse riding was something I picked up as a girl, and it really helps with my anxiety. I can spiral easily when things don&rsquo;t go my way, and riding my horse, Loro, makes me feel free and grounded. It&rsquo;s a totally different experience when the horse is yours and there&rsquo;s a bond. Pilates is my go-to when I want to feel strong. And tennis? That&rsquo;s my challenge sport. I always have this mindset that I can be the best at anything I try, so tennis pushes me to keep proving that to myself.

If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be? I thought really hard about this. I&rsquo;d go with a white T-shirt and baggy blue denim jeans. That&rsquo;s my go-to look when I&rsquo;m not working &mdash; minimal, simple, and comfortable. Comfort is so important to me because my job already involves so much effort and glam. When I&rsquo;m working, I get to step into different characters. But when I&rsquo;m off-duty, I&rsquo;m just me. The beauty of a simple outfit like that is I can layer it &mdash; throw on a jacket, change the shoes, switch up accessories&hellip;
In our last interview a few months ago, you mentioned wanting to attend fashion shows with your partner, Jefri. You both made it to Men&rsquo;s Fashion Week this past June! How was the experience? It was so fun. Honestly, it felt more like a holiday with a little bit of work mixed in, and even the work didn&rsquo;t feel like work because I was doing it with him.
I&rsquo;m naturally a very anxious person, but Jefri is the complete opposite &mdash; super chill. He doesn&rsquo;t make it seem like a big deal, even when we&rsquo;re going to shows. So that energy really helped me relax. Normally, I&rsquo;d spend my free time at home &mdash; I wouldn&rsquo;t go anywhere. But with him, I&rsquo;m always out and doing something. We had so much fun. I still can&rsquo;t believe I manifested going to Fashion Week with him.

You&rsquo;re no stranger to criticisms, and yet, you never hesitate to clap back when necessary. What advice would you give to others about standing up for themselves? Being on social media means you&rsquo;re opening yourself up to opinions &mdash; that&rsquo;s just the reality. You can&rsquo;t shut people up, no matter how much you want to. But you can choose when to respond and when to stay silent. Not every comment deserves your energy. That said, when people talk about my family, my partner, or spread completely false things about me, I feel the need to speak up.
I don&rsquo;t believe in just sitting there and nodding along to lies or unfair criticism. Especially when people convince themselves of their own made-up stories and push others to believe them too &mdash; I can&rsquo;t let that slide. So I choose my battles, but I&rsquo;ll always clear the air when it&rsquo;s necessary.
What advice would you give to young women trying to find their voice in today&rsquo;s world? Your surroundings matter the most. For me, having a family that supports me gave me the confidence I needed, but it still took time to find that confidence within myself.
Don&rsquo;t rush it. Finding your voice is a journey, not a race. You&rsquo;re meant to walk through it, not sprint. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, who want the best for you, and who bring positivity into your life. Stay far away from negativity.
What&rsquo;s a lesser-known fact about you that your fans would be surprised to learn? Although I may come across as feisty and strong, I actually feel things really deeply. I&rsquo;m super sensitive. I tend to keep things to myself, but when it gets too much, I just explode. People might think I&rsquo;m chill and nonchalant, but inside, I&rsquo;m definitely a feeler.

What&rsquo;s next for you? Any upcoming projects or goals you&rsquo;re excited about?
I&rsquo;m really excited about today&rsquo;s shoot. And by the time this interview comes out, my PUMA billboard will be everywhere, so I&rsquo;m looking forward to that! As for everything else, I believe it&rsquo;s better to stay quiet about upcoming plans until it&rsquo;s time to share. Just let the work speak for itself when the moment&rsquo;s right.
What&rsquo;s your end goal, professionally and personally?
I truly enjoy what I do. I&rsquo;m here because I love it. Some people move into acting or singing, but you&rsquo;ll never catch me in a movie or TV show. Maybe a cameo &mdash; as myself! But that&rsquo;s it.&nbsp;
Personally, I&rsquo;ve always wanted to be a wife and a mother. I look up to my mom. She loves being both, and I idolise her. So yes, I want to get married &mdash; to Jefri, of course &mdash; and take a year or two just to enjoy life together, travel, have fun, and then grow a family. But I&rsquo;m not rushing. I want it to unfold naturally.
