After three years of success, the British designer leaves the Parisian fashion house.

Clare Waight Keller (<a href="http://instagram.com/clarewaightkeller">@clarewaightkeller</a>) was the first female designer to lead Givenchy since the house was founded in 1952 and after three years on the helm, she has decided to leave the fashion label.

Among the key highlights since Waight Keller&#39;s arrival in 2017 was to bring fashion back to the catwalk &ndash; her predecessor Riccardo Tisci had opted for static presentations &ndash;, to have introduced men&#39;s looks also in women&#39;s couture shows and to have repositioned Givenchy as a brand of reference for the social moments of nobility (where she designed Meghan Markle&#39;s wedding dress) and celebrities on&nbsp;the red carpet.

When she arrived in Givenchy, the designer had just finished her tenure with&nbsp;Chlo&eacute;&nbsp;that started in 2011.&nbsp; And before that, she had&nbsp;a long career&nbsp;from Pringle of Scotland, in which she was able to show off her knowledge in the field of knitting, being one of the specializations she acquired during her studies.

Her last collection made for Givenchy was the Fall/Winter 2020/21&nbsp;show that recently showcased in Paris Fashion Week in March 2020. On her own departure, she writes a heartfelt message on her Instagram:

From the heart &hearts;️ After three truly wonderful years, the time has come to close my chapter at Givenchy. 
As the first woman to be the Artistic Director of this legendary Maison, I feel honoured to have been given the opportunity to cherish its legacy and bring it new life. 
 
Focusing on a world based on Haute Couture has been one of the highlights of my professional journey. I have shared so many incredible moments with the brilliant Givenchy ateliers and design teams : your exceptional talent and dedication will forever remain in my memories. 
 
My heartfelt thanks go out to each of the unsung heroes and heroines behind the scenes, for their contribution from product to communications and retail, and every global team member, partner and supplier in between. 
 
Without all of you, I could not have brought my vision for Givenchy to life in such a beautiful way. 
 
I am now looking forward to embarking on the next episode. Love and creativity remain central to what I do, and who I am, as does a heartfelt belief in kindness, and the courage to be true to your art.
