From Paris with love (as always), Chanel never ceases to mesmerise us with its splendour of creativity, extravagance, beauty and savoir-faire in haute couture collections.&nbsp;

And this recent Paris Spring/Summer 2018 Haute Couture Fashion Week sees a world of towering blooms encircling&nbsp;a trellis tunnel inside the Grand Palais. Iridescently captivating, Karl Lagerfeld decides to take us back to the roots of haute couture &ndash;&nbsp; a minimal yet elegant presentation made serve us the fantasy of fashion.

Now, let us bring you through the 3 things you need to know about the Chanel Spring/Summer 2018 Haute Couture show:

THE SET

There was no supermarkets, airport check-in counters or space stations in sight this season. What greeted us at Gran Palais this season was the quintessential element of spring &ndash; towering blooms in a classic French garden with that Chanel twist.

Unpretentious and clear of&nbsp;over-the-top gimmicks and extravagance, the Grand Palais sees an intricately built&nbsp;trellis tunnel, sand pavements and a fountain in the middle of it all.

In his words (from <a href="https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2018-couture/chanel">Vogue.com</a>), Karl says, &quot;I&rsquo;m not a marketing person; I don&rsquo;t know what I&rsquo;m doing in a way&mdash;it&rsquo;s just a feeling.&quot;

Of all the stellar looks we saw on the Chanel runway, the final look is one that captured our hearts the most.

Unlike usual practice where Karl creates a one-of-a-kind bridal gown look, a twist has been added and the result is a white bridal tuxedo, as worn by Luna Bijl.

Align with the rise of female empowerment as of late, this seems like a fitting way to embrace the independence of women and to challenge the misogyny and prejudice.

THE BRIDAL TUX

A low ponytail, fuchsia lips, netted veil and plenty of blossoming florals is the code for Chanel this season.

And that somewhat simply look makes a spectacular moment for couture season, where things tend to lean towards the dramatic and loud.

Created by&nbsp;hairstylist Sam McKnight, we think this elegance take on veils may just make it to the aisles of many brides this year.

After all, it has the Chanel stamp of approval. We say &quot;Yes, I do!&quot; to this eleganza!

BEAUTY IN HER VEIL

It&#39;s no secret that we, like everyone else in the industry, are obsessed with Kaia Gerber (for obvious reasons).

And for her couture debut, Kaia paraded a fairy-tale-worthy look that has us all blushing in pink on its decadence.

Puffed and fluffed for the gods, the look was a strong, empowering and yet delicate one that befits the youthful 16-year-old couture debut.
