Creative director Sabato de Sarno stayed true to his course for his latest collection.

"A precise moment in time. A moment to seize and live to the fullest. It&rsquo;s the moment the sun dives into the sea at the end of an August day. It&rsquo;s the moment we find ourselves. This collection is a tribute to those moments and an invitation to pause, seeking your own moment," states Sabato De Sarno in the show notes.
Indeed, the designer &mdash; who presented his debut collection a year ago &mdash; has always focused on living in the present. For Spring/Summer 2025, he remained steadfast in his path, delivering a collection that builds on elevated minimalism while continuing to honour Gucci&rsquo;s tradition of weaving fashion into broader cultural conversations. The show was staged at the Triennale, the same venue as the recent Men&rsquo;s SS25 show.
Sabato&rsquo;s signature elements &mdash; tailoring, lingerie, leather, and &lsquo;60s silhouettes &mdash; remain central to the line-up. The show opened with a series of laid-back, tailored looks inspired by the men&rsquo;s wardrobe. Dresses, cut mostly below the knee, were paired with Jordaan loafers, now reimagined in boot form. Summer came through in the selection of mini puffy skirts paired with form-fitting tops and oversized outerwear, including a mod peplum jacket and crop top adorned with Horsebit motifs. The raffia ensemble, which was lined with leather, further accentuated the vibe. The finale featuring extra-long tailored jackets is the epitome of casual grandeur.
The star of the show is the Gucci bamboo, as the detail can be found in abundance throughout the collection. Whether it&rsquo;s in the form of a choker, an arm cuff and a bracelet, or cinching the neckline of dresses, the brand stepped up its game this season. The Gucci Bamboo 1947 is also the star of the show, as it now comes in an East-West shape, a clutch, and a mini wrist bag. Two designs &mdash; in collaboration with Japanese designers Daido Moriyama and Nami Yokoyama for the special exhibition at&nbsp;Gucci&nbsp;Ginza Gallery &mdash; were also included in the line-up.
Elsewhere, new silhouettes like the Gucci 73 bucket bag with a half-Horsebit detail and the Gucci Go bag, available in striking printed, fringed, or sequinned designs, are sure to become favourites.
