From tweed jackets to sunray pleated dresses, this collection has something for everyone.&nbsp;

Chanel, a luxury fashion powerhouse known for continually leaning into its House codes, which are reinvented each season, creative director Virginie Viard found inspirational cues from the sun-drenched gardens of the estate Noailles &ndash; conceived by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens in 1923 &ndash; for its Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Perched on the slopes of Hy&egrave;res, the minimalist villa, with its huge swimming pool, sunken flower beds, and terraced gardens, is an oasis of pure tranquillity.
&ldquo;Sophistication and informality, the tweed throughout the collection, sportswear and lace: I tried to bring one thing and its opposite together in the coolest way possible. And the gardens and swimming pool of the villa Noailles, that exceptional setting, lend themselves to that rather well,&rdquo; the creative director says in the show notes.
Viard has kept the silhouettes loose with low-hanging waists and flat footwear. Models strutted down the runway in free and unrestrained high-low dresses, high-waist-smocked maxi skirts, suits with no lining, flowy cardigans, and organza babydoll dresses with a dynamic play on juxtaposing patterns, textures, and colours, while beachwear such as bathing suits, short sunray pleated dresses, and striped Bermuda shorts continued to champion the carefree narrative. As for accessories, necklaces in different lengths were worn in layers, with a focus on headbands, huge earrings, mini flap bag and Deauville totes.
