Dior unveils their Fall/Winter 2020/2021 Haute Couture Collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri in an exclusive film "Le Mythe Dior" directed by Matteo Garrone.

As physical runway shows are on pause worldwide due to the current pandemic, Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week has&nbsp;a new look as it&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/fashion-week/live-dior-haute-couture-fall-winter-2020">goes&nbsp;entirely virtual</a>.

And for Dior, the French atelier lured&nbsp;its viewers into a dream-like fantasy filled with magical creatures and bewitching designs by Maria Grazia Chiuri&nbsp;as the brand showcased&nbsp;its Fall/Winter 2020/2021 Haute Couture collection via a short film titled &quot;Le Mythe Dior&quot;.

This is the first time the luxury French couture house has taken a digital-only form, stemming as a result of <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/fashion/fashion-takes-charge-and-contributes-to-coronavirus-global-pandemic" target="_blank">COVID-19</a>.

Directed by Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone, <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/hommes/shawn-stussy-dominates-the-dior-men-fall-2020-collection" target="_blank">Dior&#39;s collection</a> allures&nbsp;the forest&#39;s magical creatures to its chateau dollhouse that displays the&nbsp;miniature mannequins dressed in the collection&#39;s designs. The miniature mannequins celebrate the beauty of the creative work and geniuses of Dior&#39;s&nbsp;savoir-faire tailoring.&nbsp;

Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri revisits Christian Dior&#39;s value toward a spirit of freedom and renewal as exemplified in the signature &quot;New Look&quot; era from his first collection in 1947.

Chiuri uses&nbsp;surrealist art&nbsp;to fully visualize&nbsp;the&nbsp;ideas of freedom and renewal&nbsp;in a&nbsp;dream-like creative style &ndash;&nbsp;&ldquo;Surrealist images manage to make visible what is in itself invisible. I&rsquo;m interested in mystery and magic, which are also a way of exorcising uncertainty about the future.&quot;

The 37 piece collection took inspiration from the works of the&nbsp;five surrealist artists&nbsp;Lee Miller, Dora Maar, Dorothea Tanning, Leonora Carrington and&nbsp;Jacqueline Lamba.&nbsp;The&nbsp;captivating collection&nbsp;reimagines feminity as being attuned to nature and transformation.

Dior&#39;s fantasy universe magically creates this transformation of a female&nbsp;silhouette from&nbsp;miniature creations to custom-sized&nbsp;pieces for the magical creatures like nymphs.

Additionally, the&nbsp;strapless tulle gown embroidered with sequins is inspired by&nbsp;the multi-coloured coral reefs swaying underneath the ocean. Throughout the collection, the colours of Leonora Carrington and Dorothea Tanning&#39;s paintings are preserved in the pieces&#39;&nbsp;dazzling hues and dreamlike designs.

Whether it&#39;s the&nbsp;grey and golden yellow tones to select items&#39; draping feature, Dior&#39;s Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Haute Couture&nbsp;collection vividly conjures&nbsp;an otherworldly&nbsp;beauty.
