The designer of previous Saint Laurent fame has finally shown his first collection for the new (and improved?) Celine.

The fashion world was holding their breaths after Phoebe Philo announced that she was leaving C&eacute;line (as it was then written), with no rumoured successors in the mill.

So when Hedi Slimane, of Saint Laurent fame, was announced as the new man in charge, the expectations weren&rsquo;t set: would he stay true to Philo&rsquo;s knife-sharp aesthetic she made the house known for, or bring the rocker edge he revived Saint Laurent with?

Now, we have our answer: the sequins, babydoll dresses, black veils and tulle headpieces all scream rock n&rsquo; roll glamour. He even debuted the brand&rsquo;s first-ever men&rsquo;s collection, which was even more &quot;Bob Dylan-y&quot; than his past visions of menswear at Saint Laurent.

And while these are major shifts for Celine, it&rsquo;s hardly the largest&nbsp;change Slimane has made in the past weeks: he <a href="http://www.lofficielusa.com/men/hedi-slimane-celine-2018" target="_blank">dropped the accent</a> from the brand&rsquo;s name, deleted the entire archive of Instagram&nbsp;posts documenting Phoebe&#39;s era of C&eacute;line at <a href="http://instagram.com/celine/">@celine</a> and debuted his first accessory for the brand by having none other than Lady Gaga toting it around Paris.

So as change is at the air for the storied French label (as reviews piled up &ndash; both good and bad), there&rsquo;s no telling what he&rsquo;ll do next.
