Curved walls, a minimalist lounge, hidden treatment suites and a soft blue glow overhead set a futuristic yet meditative tone for the space.&nbsp;
Aura has extensive offerings of transformative treatments, with &ldquo;Restore Balance: Aura's Signature Longevity Ritual&rdquo; as one of its standouts. As Dr Siew walked me through the ritual, he explained how the MLX i3Dome Far Infrared therapy and whole-body cryotherapy work synergistically to activate the body's regenerative response through controlled heat and cold stress. "By increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation, this contrast therapy improves muscle recovery, cellular regeneration and pain relief," he shared.&nbsp;

"And to wrap up the 90-minute session, Satori takes you into deep relaxation where the body and mind release layers of tension and find harmony." Dr Siew told me that people also turn to this vibroacoustic therapy to manage stress, anxiety, sleep disorders and addictions. "Interestingly, it was originally designed to treat spasticity in children with cerebral palsy and is now being used in rehabilitation and nursing centres. When the brain picks up on different frequencies in each ear, it enters a calmer state and that helps to lock in, lift mood and even spark creativity."

Having recently tried <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/beauty/i-tried-the-viral-contrast-therapy-for-the-first-time-at-rise-plunge">contrast therapy in a classic way with sauna and cold-water immersion</a>, I was intrigued by Aura's different approach to the practice. The treatments here, thoughtfully curated to be both effective and relaxing, lean into next-gen technologies to achieve cellular-level renewal. My Longevity Ritual experience started with the MLX i3Dome, which harnesses far infrared, plasma and light to deliver far-spectrum wavelengths that penetrate deep into the skin for detoxification and rejuvenation. Even better, I can choose between three coloured light settings: red, green, and blue &mdash; to address my current skin concerns. All I need to do was lie down, close my eyes, and let myself go.&nbsp;
Aura&rsquo;s whole-body cryotherapy chamber is also first in Malaysia. &ldquo;It uses nitrogen gas to bring the temperature down to -140&deg;C, a quick three-minute session boosts cellular recovery and burns up to 800 calories,&rdquo; said Dr Siew. Whilst cryotherapy is set at a lower temperature than an ice bath and cold plunge (typically 4&deg;C and 10&deg;C), it feels surprisingly more enjoyable &mdash; even on your first try &mdash; without the shock to the skin and system. But if you love challenging your limits and that rush of euphoria after traditional contrast therapy, this might not give you the same thrill.
