The latest Hyatt hotel in Malaysia's capital city resets the urban hospitality pulse with a new heartbeat.

This August 26, 2025, the opening of Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown is set to create headlines in the luxury hospitality landscape of the Malaysian capital. The 32-storey, five-star urban retreat, where business meets leisure, is elevated by a strong sense of design sophistication, cultural authenticity and commitment to community.
Helming the property, Till Martin, the General Manager of Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown, is a seasoned veteran who is highly recognised as a global hospitality leader with over three decades under his belt at the Hyatt Hotels Group &mdash; which he fondly calls the &ldquo;University of Hard Knocks&rdquo; and the &ldquo;University of Hyatt.&rdquo;

Across the seven different brands under the Hyatt umbrella in Kuala Lumpur, Martin highlights that food and beverage (the department where he began his career) is what identifies Hyatt. Drawing on his experience at Grand Hyatt Beijing, Martin enthuses that China House, the Northern Chinese-style restaurant at Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown, reflects the excellence of the former&rsquo;s celebrated Made In China establishment.
&ldquo;We always believe in authenticity,&rdquo; he explains, recounting the rigorous process of perfecting China House&rsquo;s signature wood-fired Peking duck speciality &mdash; from hiring a local chef from China in the assembly of a team of Chinese chefs, to sourcing the right ingredients and replicating the dish in true Northern Chinese style.

Sharing the F&amp;B limelight, Enso Izakaya &amp; Bar is a vibrant venue, replete with a garden terrace and private rooms, serving handcrafted cocktails and mocktails, along with the whole gamut of Japanese fare prepared in an open kitchen. Enso is conceived for fluidity and evolution, allowing it to transition into a sundown enclave and late-night haven, along with live music and a DJ spinning vinyl.

Completing the culinary trinity is the all-day dining space, Midtown Brasserie, an &ldquo;Asian brasserie&rdquo; with a menu of diverse Southeast Asian cuisines, along with a &ldquo;Best of Asia&rdquo; Sunday brunch for indulging the palate with familiar as well as exotic flavours of the region.

Having previously collaborated with Kengo Kuma on Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing, Martin says, &ldquo;Everything he designs is basically to bring people closer to nature and to blend with the natural environment.&rdquo; This vision translates into a design that generously employs natural materials like wood and stone, alongside a lush abundance of plants and trees, artfully blurring the demarcation between interior and exterior spaces.
