The support for March For Our Lives is in light of the recent shooting of seventeen people in the school in Florida, United States.

In support of March For Our Lives, Gucci has donated US$500,000 to the cause, that aims to take action against civilian firearms circulation in the United States.&nbsp;

Joining the likes of Oprah Winfrey and&nbsp;George and Amal Clooney, who&nbsp;donated US$500,000 respectively, Gucci decides to take a stand&nbsp;in light of the recent mass shooting in a school in Florida that killed seventeen including both students and teachers.

On this (according to <a href="http://wwd.com/fashion-news/fashion-scoops/gucci-donates-gun-control-march-for-our-lives-1202589087/">WWD</a>), creative director Alessandro Michele says, &quot;We stand with March for Our Lives and the fearless students across the country who demand that their lives and safety become a priority. We have all been directly or indirectly impacted by these senseless tragedies.&quot;

March For Our Lives is a planned movement, where it is &quot;created by, inspired by, and led by students across the USA&quot;, which will take place on 24th March 2018 in Washington DC.

The march is done to raise awareness and urge the government &quot;to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that have become all too familiar&quot;.

In the United States, civilian firearms circulation is protected and permitted by the second amendment to the Constitution.&nbsp;It is even sold in supermarkets, and it can buy almost anyone.&nbsp;

On 21st February 2017, President Donald Trump met with the families of the victims and children who survived the shooting, who demanded from him to limit the sale of weapons.

In response, Trump noted that there should be no weapons-free zones in the United States and implied that <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/21/us/politics/trump-guns-school-shooting.html">teachers should be given the rights to arm&nbsp;within schools</a>, which might help prevent the incident as part of his solution to the problem.

Shootings in American schools are so widespread that in the English-language &quot;Wikipedia&quot;,&nbsp;a separate&nbsp;<a href="https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&amp;hl=en&amp;rurl=translate.google.com&amp;sl=ru&amp;sp=nmt4&amp;tl=en&amp;u=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States&amp;xid=17259,15700021,15700105,15700124,15700149,15700168,15700173,15700201&amp;usg=ALkJrhjqkda698FBwW5RGEf03gtjjvTP1g" target="_blank">article</a>&nbsp;is devoted to it. In 2010 alone, there are 140 such cases were recorded.

One of the most significant was the tragedy in Columbine School in 1999: two teenagers, who shot 15 people at that time, had hundreds of followers.&nbsp;Many schoolchildren who have since attacked teachers and classmates with weapons, directly or indirectly stated that they were inspired by them.
