Fact: From wastewater to toxic chemical and textile waste, fashion industry represents one of the biggest polluters in the world.


Coinciding with the coming&nbsp;Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019, Fashion Film Festival Milano (FFFMilano) is back for&nbsp;its fifth edition between 20th to 25th September 2018.

Themed&nbsp;#FFFMilanoForGreen,&nbsp;FFFMilano 2018 has&nbsp;decided to call out the elephant in the room &ndash; the ongoing issue of sustainability within the fashion industry.

Receiving more than 200 submissions of fashion films worldwide,&nbsp;#FFFMilanoForGreen features the works of rising young talents,&nbsp;as well as prestigious houses like&nbsp;Prada and Herm&egrave;s.

Taking this opportunity to raise awareness towards fashion industry&#39;s green makeover and spreading knowledge of consumer ethics, FFFMilano will be holding special screenings and conversations with the jury and activists for sustainable fashion.

A new category &#39;Best Green Fashion Film&#39; will also be introduced during the festival.

The global jury includes Ana Lily Amirpour, who won the Special Jury Prize 73rd Venice International Film Festival; British photographer Max Vadukul,&nbsp;who was first discovered by Yohji Yamamoto in the 80&#39;s and has been working with Italian Vogue, French Vogue, The New Yorker; Orsola de Castro, Founder and Creative Director of Fashion Revolution; Pablo Arroyo, Creative Director of L&rsquo;Officiel Hommes France and more.

On the topic of fashion sustainability and ethics, we&#39;re also lucky to have designers like Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood to be our allies, as well as Versace and Maison Margiela who declare fur-free earlier this year, following the likes of Gucci,&nbsp;Givenchy and Michael Kors.

We have come a long way, we still have a long way to go.
