Collins was born March 18, 1989 in Guildford, Surrey, a region in the southeast of England. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents&#39; divorce.

Collins is the daughter of musician Phil Collins and his second wife,&nbsp;Jill Tavelman. They divorced in 1996. Through her father&#39;s other marriages, Collins has four other half-siblings, including Simon and Joely Collins.
